Orchards in the East of England Over Four Centuries

A talk by by Tom Williamson, Professor of Landscape History at the University of East Anglia, on Thursday 15 September at 2.30pm in the Weston Room.

Tom Williamson is the author of many books on the environment as well as teaching and being involved in many projects He recently headed the 'Orchards East' study on the development of orchards in the region over the last four centuries and this will form the basis of the talk. He will also cover how the fruit was stored and consumed over the period, including the history of cider-making.
