2 March 2022 until 18 April 2022
UNDISCLOSED is an exhibition seeking to expose modern slavery as a 21st century crime.

The exhibition will take place in the Hostry from 2 March to 18 April 2022 and is curated by Caroline Evans and Nicola Hockley.

Seven well established contemporary artists (including one collaborative pair) have been commissioned to produce new work that challenges and engages audiences in order to raise awareness and inspire deeper thinking.

Artists include Jo Pearl, Vanessa Rolf, Ismini Samanidou, James Quinn and Judith Stewart, Jhonatan Pulido and Melissa Pierce Murray. The exhibition will include textiles, ceramics, film/video, installation, photography, paintings, sculpture and books. Artists have been selected because of their subject specialism and because they have conceptual and research-led practices.

Alongside the exhibition is a series of talks by the artists and curators including workshops and discussion groups. There will be opportunities for schools to participate. An international conference organised by Rotarian Mark Little MBE on modern slavery will also take place on March 23. More details about these events will be available on the UNDISCLOSED website.

UNDISCLOSED is being delivered by Discourse CIC (a Community Interest Company), of which Nicola Hockley and Caroline Evans are directors. The exhibition will be supported by an ambitious programme of events: a private view, curators and artists'  talks, an international conference, workshops and an education programme.

There are several strategic partnerships with regional and international organizations to help raise awareness and reduce the threat of harm. At present our ‘partners’ include Hope for Justice, an advocacy charity supporting survivors of modern slavery, The Mekong Club, Rotary and Norwich Cathedral.

The UNDISCLOSED exhibition and programme of events have been made possible by the generous sponsorship from East Anglia Art Fund, National Lottery: Awards for All and private donations.

The UNDISCLOSED exhibition is at the Hostry from 2 March to 18 April 2022.
The exhibition will be open seven days a week from 10am to 4pm (3pm on Sundays) and entry is free.
