The Old Testament abounds with prophets, kings, judges and other men of greatness who were God’s hands, feet and mouth in His Creation; but what about women? Are there no significant women in the Bible? Well, of course there are, and this module looks at the women whom God worked through to shape Creation and be a window through which we can see the divine. From Eve to Esther, the Old Testament abounds with women warriors and queens, obedient and rebellious, loyal and deceitful, courageous and contrasting, whose contribution to God’s purpose in the world is powerful and complementary to that of men.

The session is led by the Revd Phil Charlesworth, Assistant Priest at Taverham with Ringland, in the Diocese of Norwich.
It will be held in Norwich Cathedral Library on Saturday 26 February 2022, 10am to 12.30pm.
Cost: £10 (or £15 for both sessions if booked with Women in the New Testament).
