Coronavirus Memorial

Coronavirus Memorial

For many months a Coronavirus Memorial was in front of the Nave altar and featured a cross for every person who had died from Covid-19 in Norfolk.

Following a Vigil of Lamentation and Hope streamed online on Tuesday 23 March 2021, the anniversary of the start of the first lockdown, the memorial's crosses are now being offered to those who would like one as their own personal memorial.

We continue to remember the departed in an ongoing memorial area in St Luke’s Chapel, where people are welcome to take one of the crosses along with a prayer card.

In time, a permanent memorial will be installed in the Cathedral in tribute to all who have died as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.
