Norwich Cathedral is usually open every day from 7.30am until 6.30pm.

All are very welcome to enjoy the Cathedral and Cloister for quiet reflection, individual prayer, the lighting of candles and to enjoy the Cathedral's history and heritage.

Please note that on Tuesday 9 August, the Cloister will be closed to the public from 4pm until 6pm.

For individual visits to the Cathedral, entry is free but donations are welcome.

Please note group visits should be booked in advance and will involve a small charge.

Group tours are usually organised to take place between 10am and 4.30pm.

Tours

Free guided tours of the Cathedral take place Monday to Saturday at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. No booking is required and the tours start by the font in the Nave. Tours are subject to guide availability.

We are also offering a new series of specialist Cathedral tours. On the first Wednesday of every month the Cathedral’s expert guides will be offering two talks on a specific aspect of the Cathedral’s story over the last 900 years. The specialist tours cost £3 per person plus booking fee. For more details click here
