Norfolk nurse Edith Cavell made the ultimate sacrifice helping First World War soldiers reach safety, and her heroism will be remembered at a special graveside service.

The brave nurse helped more than 200 soldiers escape from occupied Belgium during the war and for this she was executed by the Germans on October 12 1915.

Every year an annual memorial service in tribute to Nurse Cavell takes place beside her final resting place at Norwich Cathedral.

This year's service will start at 11am on Saturday 12 October.

All are welcome to attend.
