Enjoy free open-air music in the Upper Close Green every other Thursday evening this summer as part of Norwich Business Improvement District (BID)’s city-wide Head Out, Not Home project.

Below is the Upper Close Green programme:

Thursday July 18, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm
Sonic Youths presents Taryn Everdeen, an 18-year-old singer-songwriter whose soft, haunting vocals speak about love, loss and vulnerability.

Thursday 1 August, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm
Sonic Youths presents Leon O’Leary, an indie-folk singer-songwriter from the Suffolk Coast who writes with the influences of artists such as Ben Howard, David Gray and Bruce Springsteen.

Thursday 15 August, 5pm, 6.10pm, 7.20pm
Musical duo Xenia Horne (harp and vocals) and Emily Bennett (fiddle and vocals) play toe-tapping tunes from Mexico, Ireland, Scotland, Finland and beyond.

Thursday 29 August, 5pm, 6pm, 7pm
(The) Red Dear – featuring brother and sister duo Dylan and Izzy – create their own take on modern folk music featuring acoustic instruments and vocal harmonies and a touch of electric guitar.
