Exhibition: Bishop's Art Prize 2019

4 June 2019 until 13 June 2019
Hostry Exhibition Space
Exhibition: Bishop
The Bishop's Art Prize is an annual competition open to final year BA and MA students at Norwich University of the Arts.

This year's event - which will be hosted by the Rt Revd Alan Winton, Bishop of Thetford - has the theme Streams in the Desert.

It is an image of hope that is repeatedly used in the book of the prophet Isaiah in the Old Testament, including in chapter 35 verses 5 and 6:
“Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped; then the lame shall leap like a deer, and the tongue of the speechless sing for joy. For waters shall break forth in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.”

NUA students can interpret the theme in any art form they chose and a selection of the work will be displayed in an exhibition at the Hostry from 4 June 2019 until 13 June 2019.

All Hostry exhibitions are free and open Monday to Saturday 9.30am-4.30pm and Sunday 10am-3pm.
