Lectio Divina
Lectio Divina is the Benedictine tradition of deep reading of the Bible. We take a short passage of scripture and read it slowly, aloud, several times. The aim is to listen for what the text is saying to you: does any word or phrase stand out for you? What is the passage asking of you, what response is it encouraging you to make? This form of reading can remind us to take things slowly, to linger over what we are doing, to look for deeper meanings and not just superficial appearance.

Lectio Divina is held every third Friday of the month.

This is an additional session for Libraries Week (8-13 October). For further information, see the Library Events section of the website.
