Preserving our Heritage: Conservation of the Cloisters

Join us for a talk given by Lou Ashton, who recently carried out extensive conservation work in the Cathedral Cloisters.

Lou will speak about the history and architecture of the Cloisters as a whole, as well as looking in more details at the famous Bosses, which were the subject of a detailed condition survey in 2016. She will also discuss the different materials used to build and decorate the Cloisters, and the various ways of treating them.

Cost: £5 to Friends of Norwich Cathedral; £8 for non-members to include coach travel, lunch, tea and entrance to gardens.
