Religion in the Dutch Golden Age
Dr. Chris Joby is an Associate Professor of Dutch language, history and culture in South Korea. He will be discussing how artists such as Rembrandt, Vermeer and Jan Steen present religious themes in their works of art. In some cases, such as Rembrandt's Passion Cycle, the meaning is clear, however in other works, such as Vermeer's The Art of Painting, the religious meaning is harder to find. Join Chris for this interesting journey into some fascinating and beautiful art.

Cost: £10.
