For many years Mel Clark has worked as Master Printer in collaboration with many other artists from his studio workshop in Norfolk where he runs his own private press.

During the 1980s, Mel began to use the computer as a creative Fine Art tool and he saw the potential for digital working, which he has developed productively to this day.

With the huge advances in the quality and permanence of digital printing, he has made use of a wide range of Fine Art papers and specialist inks. His work is predominantly print based and has an abstract / geometric emphasis, drawing references largely from the landscape.

Much of his work is screen printed but he also uses collage and mixed media. Colour plays a vital part in his compositions as does the challenge of working in series.
