Norwich Cathedral’s Choral Scholars will be performing a concert of searingly beautiful music inspired by the season of Lent, under the musical direction of Harry Castle, who currently works at Norwich School.

The concert will feature Thomas Tallis’s rich and fluid Lamentations of Jeremiah, extracts from Guillaume de Machaut’s medieval masterpiece, La Messe de Nostre Dame, and works by Cavalli, Byrd and Guerrero.

Intimate consort singing will mix spectacularly with the magnificent surroundings of the cathedral, in a rare opportunity to hear these talented singers in an unfamiliar context.

Whilst this concert is free to attend, there will be a retiring collection in aid of the tour fund for the Cathedral Girls’ Choir.
