James Micklethwaite and Ben Schilperoort, two of the Cathedral's superbly talented choral scholars, will be delving into the song traditions of Europe and America to perform a recital of exuberant and beautiful music by Benjamin Britten, Emmanuel Chabrier, Hugo Wolf and Aaron Copland. They will be accompanied at the piano by Steven Doran and William Falconer.

This will be a rare opportunity to hear the singers of the Cathedral choir in an intimate setting, and informal introductions to the pieces will provide unique performers' insights into the repertoire.

While this recital is offered for free as part of Norwich School's "Making Musicians" programme for Young Artists, there will be a retiring collection to raise money for the Cathedral choir's upcoming tour to Germany.

Furthermore, if you have some spare time after the performance, please stay around for some refreshments and a chance to get to know the singers!

The recital will begin at 1.10pm at Anteros Arts Foundation on Fye Bridge Street. However a group will be meeting at the Cathedral Hostry at 1.00pm, departing on the short walk to the venue together. All are welcome to join!
