Daily tours of Norwich Cathedral

One of the most popular mentions in our Trip Advisor reviews are the guided tours that are offered at Norwich Cathedral.

Thanks to the help of our volunteer guides, visitors are able to gain a greater insight into the 900 year old history of the Cathedral as they make their way around the building.

Tours depart from the rear of the Nave on the hour between 10.00am and 3.00pm Monday to Saturday, and, from May to September, at 12.15pm and 1.15pm on Sundays. They last approximately 50 minutes.

Please note that occasionally it is not possible to offer these tours due to other events in the Cathedral, rehearsals or essential maintenance.

There will be no tours on Saturday 9 November, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

Tours for groups and schools

Please note that general guided and self guided tours of Norwich Cathedral are also available to both UK based and foreign groups and schools for a small charge. Full details are available on request.

We also offer specialist subject guided tours as part of our group visits menu. From this you can create a bespoke itinerary for your group’s trip to Norwich Cathedral, to also include food, drink and keepsakes from the gift shop.

Guides that are experienced in offering tours to those who are blind or partially sighted are also available for pre-booked tours on request.

You’ll find more information on our Group Visits and School Visits pages.
