Norwich Cathedral Children's Choir

About

Norwich Cathedral Children’s Choir is an informal singing group for children in school years 2-6 who love to sing! Normally, the choir meets on Saturday mornings in the Song School at Norwich Cathedral, led by Ashley Grote, Master of Music at Norwich Cathedral. There is no audition and no charge to join.

Virtual Rehearsals!

During this period of lockdown, we are offering ‘virtual’ rehearsals for the children’s choir, which take place at 9.30am on Saturday mornings for around 30 minutes. Any child in school years 2-6 is welcome to join us for these – you don’t have to have been a previous member of the choir, or even to live in the Norwich area. Led by Ashley Grote, Master of Music at Norwich Cathedral, these short sessions involve some fun warm-ups and singing games, and the chance to learn and join in some fun songs at home..

Applying

If your child or children would like to join these virtual sessions, then you must register using the application form which can be downloaded here.

In order to participate on a Saturday, this must be returned by email no later than Friday evening to masterofmusic@cathedral.org.uk. You only need register once, and will then receive details of all future virtual rehearsals.

The application form contains guidelines for safe use of video conferencing for choir rehearsals, and a copy of our safeguarding policy relating to virtual choir rehearsals can be supplied on request.

We hope that you can join us for some fun singing – guaranteed to brighten your spirits during this difficult time!
