Cathedral opening times

Norwich Cathedral is usually open seven days a week from 7.30am until 6.30pm. All are welcome to enjoy the Cathedral and Cloister for quiet reflection, individual prayer, the lighting of candles and to enjoy the Cathedral's history and heritage.

Please note that, due to a memorial service taking place, on Thursday 20 April the Cathedral's Nave will be closed to the public from 12.30pm until 3.45pm and the east end of the Cathedral will be closed from 3.30pm until 5pm.

Please also note that an organ rehearsal will be taking place on Wednesday 13 April from 1pm until 5pm and that the sound from the rehearsal will be heard throughout the Cathedral.


Free guided tours of the Cathedral usually take place Monday to Saturday at 10am, 11am, 12 noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. No booking is required and the tours start by the Font in the Nave. Cathedral Tours are subject to guide availability.

Jarrold at the Refectory Cafe is usually open every day from 10.30am until 3.30pm.
