All welcome at Benedictine Study Day

All are welcome to join a Benedictine Study Day on Saturday 16 October when Fr Luigi Gioia, an award-winning author and international lecturer on Benedictine spirituality, will speak on ‘Benedict’s Rule of Life’.
St Benedict
Fr Luigi will consider the place of St Benedict in the history of spirituality and especially the significance and influence of Benedict’s Rule of Life, before focussing on some key elements of monastic spirituality as they relate to Christian vocation.

The Benedictine Study Day will take place in the Cathedral’s Presbytery from 10am until 4pm and there will be two specific talks:

1 - Benedict’s Rule of Life: The Quintessence of the Gospel
2 - The Monastic Dimension of The Christian Vocation

Father Luigi Gioia
About Father Luigi:
Father Luigi Gioia is a theologian and researcher at Cambridge University and exercises his ministry in London and in the USA. His spirituality books have been translated in five languages. His first book on prayer, Say It To God (Bloomsbury 2017) was the Archbishop of Canterbury Lent Book 2018. His latest book on Benedictine spirituality (The Wisdom of St Benedict, Canterbury Press 2021) received the first prize in the 'Spirituality' category from the Catholic Media Association in the USA.
