In April, 10 Downing Street announced that Her Majesty The Queen had approved the nomination of The Venerable Dr Jane Steen, currently Archdeacon of Southwark, to be the next Bishop of Lynn.

Dr Steen will be the first suffragan bishop to be consecrated in Norwich Cathedral in over 100 years, if not ever. Suffragan bishops are usually consecrated in London and York, but this has been altered due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Consecration will take place at 11am and will be live-streamed on the Norwich Cathedral Services YouTube Channel via this link.

Please note that the Cathedral will be closed to the public on Wednesday 23 June after the 8am service until 1pm. For more details about the Cathedral's opening hours click here.
