The Dean of Norwich, the Very Revd Jane Hedges, said: "Following the Prime Minister’s announcement with regards to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are awaiting further guidance from the Church of England.

Our understanding is that Norwich Cathedral will be closed for public services and for general visitors from Thursday 5 November, but that the Cathedral can remain open for individual prayer.

During this difficult time, the Cathedral community continues to be here for everyone and our digital worship will continue to be published via the Norwich Cathedral Services YouTube Channel. All the latest details will be available on the Cathedral website as soon as is practically possible.

Our recently published virtual tour is also available on the Cathedral website and we hope this virtual window into the Cathedral will be a comfort to everyone who is unable to visit in person as England prepares to enter a second lockdown.”
