Bishop Graham's video for Christian Aid

04 May 2020
The Bishop of Norwich, the Rt Revd Graham Usher, reflects on what Jesus would do in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic for a new online video for Christian Aid. Covid 19 – What would Jesus do? has been published on the Christian Aid East Anglia YouTube Channel in the run-up to this year’s Christian Aid Week which will run from 10 to 16 May.

Christian Aid is the main overseas development charity that the Cathedral supports, and traditionally funds are each year raised through collections, quizzes, cake sales and other activities such as the Spring meeting, at which the Bishop of Norwich had originally been due to speak this year.

In the current age of lockdown and social distancing, the new video from the Bishop is one of a number of online resources that have been developed to help people mark this year’s Christian Aid Week and raise vital funds to help support the charity's work to transform the lives of people in the world’s poorest countries.

A special service with Dr Rowan Williams will be streamed on the Christian Aid website at 1pm on Sunday 10 May, and there will also be daily reflections and quizzes online during the week.
