Stay at Home, Protect the NHS, Save Lives

01 April 2020
Norwich Cathedral is encouraging people to keep up the fight against coronavirus (Covid-19) by following government advice and staying at home. The government's Stay Home, Save Lives campaign highlights the single most important action that we can all take to combat the spread of coronavirus – stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives.

Anyone can spread Coronavirus.

The only reasons to leave home are:
To shop for basic necessities or pick up medicine
To travel to work when you absolutely cannot work from home
To exercise once a day, alone or with members of your household

Do not meet others, even friends or family

The Revd Canon Andy Bryant, Canon for Mission and Pastoral Care, said: "Here at Norwich Cathedral we want to play our part in encouraging everyone to stay at home, protect our NHS and save lives, so as long as required the Cathedral will stay shut. But our daily pattern of worship continues with the clergy praying apart, but united by praying at the same times each day. We are praying for all caught up in this pandemic but are very specially praying for our NHS and all its staff. We give thanks for their wonderful commitment and dedication and pray they will stay safe and well to continue their life saving work."
