08 October 2019
On Saturday 9 November we look forward to officially welcoming the Rt Revd Graham Usher when he is enthroned as the 72nd Bishop of Norwich in a special symbolic ceremony at Norwich Cathedral.
Bishop of Norwich (c) Diocese of Norwich

More than 1,800 invited guests are expected to attend the event that will see the Bishop formally seated for the first time on the ancient throne at the east end of the Cathedral.

The enthronement marks the beginning of Bishop Graham’s public ministry in the Diocese of Norwich, and those who have been invited to attend include licensed clergy and lay ministers, local volunteers, charities, schools, civic leaders and organisations.

On the day of the enthronement, there will be limited access to the Cathedral for general visitors.

Ahead of the 2pm service, admission to the Cathedral will be by ticket only.and both Cathedral and Hostry will be closed to general visitors until after the  enthronement service has taken place.

The Cloisters, Refectory and wider Close will all remain open for all visitors throughout the whole day.
