Friends event: Pensthorpe Natural Park
Pensthorpe Natural Park is the subject of the Friends of Norwich Cathedral talk in the Weston Room on Wednesday 17 August.

Reserve manager Richard Spowage will talk about Pensthorpe and its wildlife. As well as play areas and a collection of birds, Pensthorpe also has a large nature reserve encompassing habitats both within the Wensum valley flood plain and across a farm.

Protecting these areas and the wildlife requires management of both the habitats and wildlife but also of the visitors to ensure they have an amazing wildlife-filled visit.

If time permits, Richard will touch on the Pensthorpe conservation trust and its active role working with both Curlew and Corncrake on a landscape scale.

The evening will start with drinks at 5.30pm followed by the talk at 6pm.

Tickets are £8 for Friends of Norwich Cathedral and £10 for non-members.
