St John Chrysostom

A talk by The Revd Dr James Cook, curate at St Andrew’s Eaton, on Thursday 19 May at 2.30pm in the Weston Room.

The Revd Dr James Cook will introduce us to St John Chrysostom, the 4th century preacher and Church Father who became Archbishop of Constantinople.

St John was renowned for his powerful oratory, and in particular for his denunciations of the excesses of the wealthy elite. More writings from him survive than for any other of the Greek Fathers, including more than 800 sermons.

Tickets are £6 for Friends of Norwich Cathedral and £9 for non-members.
