Norfolk Open Churches Classic Car Run

More than 100 classic cars will gather at Norwich Cathedral on Saturday 3 August for the start of the 2019 Norfolk Open Churches Classic Car Run.

Every year the classic car run kicks off the Norfolk Open Churches Week and organisers have had a fantastic response for the 2019 run which is now fully subscribed.

People are welcome visit the Cathedral on the day from 8am see the incredible sight of all the cars lined up ahead of the start of their journey from 9am.

This year the theme of the run is Breckland and Forests. Starting from Norwich Cathedral, the route will feature about 30 Churches and will end at a location in the heart of Breckland where there will be a short ‘pit-stop’ service which will be led by the Revd Caryll Brown and the Rt Revd Alan Winton, Bishop of Thetford. 

Norfolk Open Churches Classic Car Run is organised by Richard Mitchell and Maurice Gowen with the help of the Norwich Diocesan office.

Profits from the event will go towards the maintenance and upkeep of Norwich Cathedral.

People can arrive any time from 8am onwards on the day and the first cars will leave Norwich Cathedral at 9am.
