We’ll once again be marking the beginning of Advent by opening the Cathedral to the community. The evening will be full of variety, including a short service to bless the outdoor crib (featuring live farm animals), carols with the Cathedral Choir and the lighting of our Christmas Trees!

We suggest gathering at the West Front from 6.30pm for the service at 7.00pm, before exploring inside. There’ll be something for everyone with guided 30 minute taster tours (leaving from the rear of the Nave every 15 minutes from 7.30pm), Christmas stalls, hand massages, photo opportunities and activities for children all also on offer. Meanwhile, The Refectory Café will be open to enjoy a warming drink, whilst the Gift Shop offers the perfect opportunity for Christmas shopping.

Tree of Remembrance

If you are missing someone this Christmas you are invited to visit our Tree of Remembrance, situated next to the outdoor crib, where you will be able to write a message on a star and place on one of the tree’s branches as an act of remembrance.
