The Lord Mayor's Procession is Norwich's biggest community celebration; with three days of festivities including a street procession at 5pm on the Saturday, plus entertainers, fireworks, outdoor stages with music, dance and theatre, a funfair, craft and food markets, street fayre, duck races and lots more.

This year, the Cathedral will be playing its part in the Lord Mayor's procession with our very own float, displaying our work and role in the community to the city - we hope you'll support us, as we take our part in the parade through the city centre.

Even more excitingly, this year, for the first time, we will be opening up the Cathedral in the evening for visitors and Lord Mayor's Procession spectators to explore. The Upper Green in the Cathedral Close is the perfect place to enjoy the sun, and eat a picnic, while the Lower Green provides a different vantage point to enjoy the Lord Mayor's fireworks in the evening.

We'll also have expert guides on duty in the Cathedral 7.00 - 9.00pm, meeting and greeting visitors and offering mini-tours to uncover some of the Cathedral's most historic features!
