Lunchtime Recital: Hamburg Chamber Choir

The Chamber Choir from St Michaelis Church, Hamburg will give a lunchtime recital.

The programme will include: 
  • Georg Phillip Telemann; La Grace and Singet Gott in eurem Herzen
  • Felix Mendelssohn; Praeludium und Fuge c-Moll, Drei Geistliche Lieder and Verleih uns Frieden gnädiglich
  • Maurice Duruflé; Agnus Dei (Missa cum jubile)
The choir's musical director, Manual Gera, was born in 1963, and studied sacred music at the Robert- Schumann-Hochschule Düsseldorf. After completing his A-exam in 1991, he studied organ improvisation at the Musikhochschule des Saarlandes Saarbrücken, finishing with the concert-exam Organ-improvisation.

Manuel Gera was Cantor and organist in Oberhausen and Soest before being called to the position as Director of Music at Hamburg‘s main church, St. Michaelis. 

The recital is free to attend, and no tickets are required.
