Within the New Testament as a whole, there is not a consistent or prescribed formula of
discipleship that fits all situations. Instead we are offered a plurality of ‘patterns’ that
emerge from the particular context that is being addressed.
In this session we will outline
the theme of ‘imitating Christ’ as a means to understand the concept of discipleship that
emerges in the Letter to the Philippians. The session will consist of teaching, small group
work and plenary. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of the Bible with them.
Tutor - the Revd Julian Pursehouse. Cost - £10
