Tours and Groups

We offer a range of tours (see below) and you can click here for a Virtual Tour, courtesy of Spheriscope.

Daily guided tours - open to all

Our trained Guides conduct general guided tours of the Cathedral every day (Monday - Saturday) at the following times: 11am, 12noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm.  Guides are identifiable by their green sashes and are are available, morning and afternoon, to answer your questions.

Tours begin at the back of the Nave and last approximately forty-five minutes. They are for the casual visitor and family group. We make no charge but ask for a donation at the end.

Pre-booked guided tours for groups

Groups should book their visit in advance: they cannot be accommodated on the normal informal tours.  Group guided tours run all year between 10.00am and 4.00 .pm and last approximately one hour.

If you wish to bring a group to visit the Cathedral please contact the Cathedral Reception on 01603 218300 at least one month in advance so that we can make the necessary arrangements and ensure your visit is not disrupted by coinciding with the organ being tuned or any special services.

We have information available in French, German, Italian, Spanish Dutch, Japanese and Russian but are not normally able to offer guided tours in these languages.
