A popular tourist destination, Norwich is easy to reach by road, rail or air. A prominent landmark, the map below shows the Cathedral's location in the heart of Norwich and our practical plan of the Close gives details of access, coach drop-off points etc.
The Cathedral is only a short walk from the train station along the riverside. Turn right, cross the river and walk along the river footpath for five minutes until you arrive at Pull's Ferry which is the beginning of the Cathedral Close. There turn left and you will see the Cathedral spire ahead of you.
A number of bus routes stop here and there is a coach drop-off point.
Parking in the Close is not normally available for visitors, except for those with special needs and by special arrangement with the Estates Department (01603 218309). You can download a map of nearby public car parks.
