Herb workshops and tours

Herb workshops and tours

If you would like to learn more about the Herb Garden, please contact our Education Officer who runs tours for adults as well as schools workshops.

Tours and workshops cover the identification of herbs and their medicinal and culinary properties.  School pupils are also taught how to make infusions, ointments, pillow sachets, poultices and tea, just as the Benedictine monks did here in medieval times.

For school groups, our herb workshops are run on Mondays from March until October and cost £2.50 per pupil, with group sizes limited to a maximum of twenty.  Workshops are suitable for all Key Stages and above.

Please contact the Schools Officer (01603 218320) to find out more or make a booking.
