The Censing Angel Project aims to put the angel back in the centre of the nave roof. Norwich School and Notre Dame are working with willow sculptor, Joy Whiddett, Egg Tempera artist, Maz Jackson and jeweller and enamelist, Sheila McDonald.
The schools are involved in designing and making elements of the Censing Angel. The UEA film of the project will be shown in the Hostry exhibition centre, alongside displays showing the creative process. The exhibition will show the students' and artists' work in progress and aims to help people to think about making the invisible visible and the place of the unseen in the life of faith.
When completed the angel will measure some 12 ft and will be permanently displayed in the Cathedral nave after its installation for Easter 2012.
