Travelling to Norwich Cathedral

It is easy to get to Norwich by road, rail or air.

A prominent landmark, the Cathedral is situated in the heart of the city. The map below shows the location and a larger map is also available (best viewed at double size)

The Cathedral is only a short walk from the train station along the riverside. Turn right, cross the river and walk along the river footpath for 5 minutes until you arrive at Pulls Ferry which is the beginning of the Cathedral Close. There turn left and you will see the Cathedral spire ahead of you.

The Cathedral is also one of the stops on the hop-on/hop-off Norwich tourist road-train which visits many attractions across the city.

The map below shows the nearest public car parks. Parking in the Close is not normally available for visitors save for those with special needs and by special arrangement with the Estates Department (01603 218309). For details please see our parking policy.

The drop off and pick up point for coaches is outside the Close in Tombland. Pedestrian entry to the Close and Cathedral is via the Erpingham Gate.
