The Friends of Norwich Cathedral was formed in 1935, and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2005. The Friends support the Dean and Chapter by contributing to maintenance and improvement work on the historic fabric, and supporting new ventures. Over the years the Friends have given millions of pounds, which is why the Cathedral is generally in such good condition.
The Friends run a series of events throughout the year, including lectures
on a variety of subjects. There are also summer and autumn outings arranged,
as well as social events. Every member receives a copy of the Annual Report,
and is encouraged to come to the Annual Meeting in June. IThe minimum subscriptions are:
