The Cathedral promotes organ recitals throughout the year.
There is a recital each Bank Holiday at 11am lasting about forty-five minutes and admission is free.
In addition, between June and October there are monthly Wednesday evening recitals which last about ninety minutes and a modest charge (with concessions) is made for admission.
For these recitals the organ recitalist can be seen by the audience in the Nave by means a of a big screen relay.

August 30 Neil Ricketts (Norwich)
Wednesday Big Screen Organ Recitals at 7.30pm - £6 with concessions
August 18 Julian Thomas (Tonbridge School)
From 2001 to 2007, Julian was the Assistant Organist & Director of the Girls’ Choir at Norwich Cathedral, during which time he regularly appeared on both radio and television accompanying and conducting choirs. In 2007 he moved Tonbridge School to take up the post of Organist & Choirmaster. As a recitalist, he has performed recently at Westminster Abbey and Westminster Cathedral, as well as Southwark, Portsmouth, and Lincoln Cathedrals, and St Lawrence-Jewry and the Temple Church, London. He is a former director of the Edington Music Festival.
September 15 David Hill (Director of the BBC Singers and Bach Choir)
David Hill is one of the foremost musicians of his generation. Previously Organist of Westminster and Winchester Cathedrals and St John’s College, Cambridge he is in great demand as a conductor and organist. He combines organ solo work with directorship of the world renowned BBC Singers and Bach Choir.
