The role of the Norwich Cathedral Ex-Choristers’ Guild is to enable former choristers to:-
- stay in touch with, and support, the work of the Cathedral Choirs, and
- keep in contact with each other through social events.
There are two main events per year: an Advent Party on Advent Sunday, following the Cathedral's Advent Carol Service, and an Annual General Meeting and Reunion Dinner in May.
Full membership of the Guild is open to former girls and boys of the Cathedral Choir.
Anyone else who has been involved in the music of the Cathedral (Lay-Clerks, Choral Scholars, Directors of Music, Organists etc.) may join as Associate Members.
The Dean is the President of the Guild, and the Director of Music and Assistant Director of Music are ex-officio members.
How to join
Membership presently costs £8 for adults and £2.50 for those in full-time education. There is also the option of Life Membership for a single payment of £75.
