BBC Hands on History - The Normans

The Norman Season launches Hands on History from the BBC, a two-year learning campaign offering audiences inspiring opportunities to take the next step from watching programmes to discovering history around them.

Working in partnership with many heritage and history organisations, Hands on History will offer a range of events and activities as part of the Norman Season.

Norwich Cathedral is delighted to support the BBC's 2 year venture to bring history to life.

The BBC's Hands on History website is full of information about life in Norman times - not just as a monk - and fun Norman activities happening near you.

You can

  • Find a Hands on History event or workshop
  • Find a walk, trail or day trip in your area and embark on your own Norman adventure
  • Order your free Norman pull-out timeline
  • Download the Hands on History activity packs
  • Play the Battle of Hastings game

And lots more................
