Make a Donation to Norwich Cathedral

Thank you for considering making a donation to Norwich Cathedral.

We receive no government grants so every donation is gratefully received, especially as we make no charge for entry.

If you do decide to donate and are a UK taxpayer please consider adding Gift Aid.

  • By using Gift Aid, for every pound you give, Norwich Cathedral will get an extra 28p from HM Revenue and Customs.
  • A Gift Aided Donation of £100 can be turned into £128 - Imagine the difference that could make and it will not cost you any extra.

There are many different ways you can donate.

  • Using a credit or debit card you can donate online now.
  • If you would like to consider making a regular gift we can give you information on how to set this up easily and quickly.
  • If you would like to donate by means of a cheque or CAF form or shares please download our donation form.
  • If you would like to donate through the Government’s Payroll Giving Scheme, you can ask your employer to deduct a specific amount from your pay to give to Norwich Cathedral as a donation. This is treated as a pre-tax deduction. In other words, if you are a standard rate taxpayer and wish to give Norwich Cathedral £10, it will only cost you £7.80. This can be set up as a regular monthly deduction. If you are interested we can make all the arrangements with your employer; all you need to do is contact our Finance Department .
  • Sometimes employers have a policy of matching employees’ donations to charity. It is worth enquiring.

Making a general donation or specifying a particular use for your money

We are grateful for all gifts.  We appreciate that you may wish to donate to a particular aspect of the Cathedral and its life and would not wish to deter you.  However general non-specific gifts are always welcome since it means that we can use the money wherever it is most needed at the time.
