Chapter Steward

Neil Parsons (more >)

Neil Parsons is responsible to Chapter and acts as its chief operating officer responsible for the day to day operations of the Cathedral, the Estate, and all commercial activities to include financial management. He assists Chapter in the development of strategic planning and attends all Chapter meetings. He is the overall manager for all staff subject to policy direction and input from Chapter. chaptersteward@cathedral.org.uk

Finance Manager

Julia Curtis is a Chartered Accountant with responsibility for Cathedral finances, working closely with the Chapter Steward. Julia is supported by a team of three staff, including Simon Howard, Assistant Finance Manager.

Personal Assistant to the Dean

Angela Stevenson (more >)

Angela Stevenson provides secretarial and administrative support to the Dean within the Cathedral Office administration team. She co-ordinates the Dean's appointments diary and is the principal point of contact for all enquiries to the Dean. Angela is also responsible for the production of the monthly Cathedral newsletter and compilation of the Cathedral's Events listings.

Estates Manager

Phil Thomas  (more >)

Phil Thomas looks after the Cathedral Estates Department and is responsible for maintenance and repair of the 100 + properties, both commercial and residential, in the Close. The Cathedral Estates Team, comprising a Foreman, three craftsmen and two labourers carry out much of the work on these historic properties. Phil is also responsible for car parking in the Close and our Gatekeepers are visible at the gate and around the Close. Sue is responsible for the effective operational performance of the Visitor Experience within the Hostry, Refectory and Shop. She provides oversight and leadership to teams of staff and volunteers in these areas and aims to ensure sustainable income is achieved from facilities hire, catering and retail to help support the mission and fabric of the Cathedral.
