Norwich Cathedral role in appointments to benefices across the Diocese
The Dean and Chapter play a key role in choosing Vicars and Rectors, traditionally called exercising ‘patronage’, in relation to a large number of churches across the Diocese. The exact form of patronage differs from church to church; sometimes we are the sole patron and sometimes we appoint with others or in turns.
