Social life

Many of the Cathedral community get together informally on Sundays over a cup of coffee in the south Transept after the 10.30am Sung Eucharist. However the events group of the community committee also organise a wide range of social events. These range from meals in the Cathedral Refectory to visits to places of historic or religious interest.

Information about future social events can be found on this website, in the Cathedral Newsletter and on the weekly sheet in the Cathedral.

Events planned for the coming months are as follows:

Saturday 26 September - Day Pilgrimage to Walsingham led by the Dean.

A coach will be provided and there will be an optional lunch at the Shrine.

Details to follow.

Sunday 11 October - Cathedral Community Family Harvest Lunch

Special deal for families and colouring competition for children

Tickets available early September

For more information and tickets please contact Angela Capper (01603 665210).

Members of the Cathedral community also regularly attend the many other lectures and events that take place in the Cathedral, the Refectory, or the Library.
