At the heart of the Christian faith is our commitment to following the way of Christ. Christians seek to live out our faith by loving God and loving our neighbour. Members of the Cathedral community take time to get to know each other, support each other and ensure newcomers feel welcome.
They play a key role in helping the Cathedral reach out to the wider community, such as those who live or work nearby and the many thousands of adults and children who visit the Cathedral every year. They support several local charities both financially and practically. They seek to promote international links with churches abroad.
Coffee and tea are served every Sunday in the south transept after the 10.30am Sung Eucharist. All are welcome.
As well as meeting regularly for worship, members of the community have the opportunity of joining one of the prayer and study groups which meet regularly through the year.
Should you wish to speak to one of the clergy please have a word with any of them after a service or contact Canon Richard Capper. Canon Capper as the Canon Pastor is the member of Chapter specifically charged with the pastoral care of the Cathedral community.
