Broderers' Trail

Following our textile trail helps worshippers and visitors to appreciate some of the Cathedral's fine ecclesiastical textiles. The frontals and banners you will find always reflect the current seasonal colours of the church year, so not all of our textiles will be on display at any one time.

 

Look out for the sets of kneelers and seat cushions installed in different areas of the Cathedral.

This Trail reflects the textiles usually on show in the Cathedral. Other textiles to note are the specifically designed sets of kneelers and seat cushions installed in different areas of the Cathedral, for example the Nave, Crossing and St Luke's Chapel.

The clergy vestments, used during the services, are stored in the Vestry on the south side of the Presbytery and not open to the public.
