Support our future

It costs nearly £5,000 a day to run Norwich Cathedral

For more than 900 years Norwich Cathedral has played a key role in our fine city and the Diocese of Norwich.

We are proud that Norwich Cathedral is free for all to enter and are committed to ensuring it stays this way.

While there is no expectation for people to donate when they visit, any contributions are very much appreciated.

Every donation made, whether large or small, plays an important role in helping to secure the long-term future of the Cathedral.

Your support will help to fund the Cathedral's ongoing daily running costs as well as essential maintenance and conservation work that is vital to making sure this beautiful historic landmark will continue to be here for centuries to come.

The They Shall Laugh and Sing Music Appeal

Norwich Cathedral's impressive organ and choristers have been at the heart and soul of the landmark's musical life for generations, and a £2.5m fundraising appeal is under way to ensure this continues long into the future.

To date, more than £2.3m has been raised for the They Shall Laugh and Sing Music Appeal which has the Earl of Wessex as patron.

The appeal aims to fund a £1.8m restoration of the organ - part of which dates back to the 17th century and which was last restored in the 1940s - as well as raise a further £700,000 to support the boy and girl choristers and expand the Cathedral's musical work in the wider community.

Your donation will help ensure that future generations will continue to benefit from Norwich Cathedral's rich musical heritage.
